Robert Johanson AO
Chairman
Robert Johanson AO joined GSFM as chairman on 1 October 2024.
Mr Johanson was previously chairman of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited for 12 years and was a director of Grant Samuel for over 20 years.
He is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, where he studied arts and law, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws. He also holds an MBA from Harvard University.
During 12 years’ service as a member of the Council and Deputy Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, he was involved in helping establish the Australia India Institute, of which he remains Chairman, and a member of the Takeovers Panel. He is also currently chairman of the Australian Friends of Asha for Slums and a director of Melbourne Business School, Neuclone Pty Ltd and the Robert Salzer Foundation.

Damien is a founder of GSFM and in 2017 was appointed CEO after 10 years as head of distribution. In this role, he is responsible for the ongoing success and growth of the business. Damien draws on his extensive experience in the financial services industry, which spans stockbroking, financial planning and funds management. He has developed long-term relationships with key players in the retail ‘value chain’, including research houses, platforms, dealer groups and financial advisers.
Prior to GSFM, Damien was head of retail distribution at Merrill Lynch Investment Management (MLIM). The MLIM retail business grew from $4 billion to $12 billion during that time, and the overall business to $20 billion.

Amit Muni

Amit Muni
Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, CI Financial
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Muni overseas the company’s global finance operations and investor relations teams.
He joined CI Financial in May 2021 from WisdomTree Investments, Inc., a publicly traded asset manager where he served as Executive Vice President and CFO since 2008. Prior to WisdomTree, Mr. Muni served as Chief Accounting Officer of International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc (“ISE”), one of the worlds leading electronic options exchanges, where he lead ISE’s successful public offering in 2005. He also previously worked at PwC LLP, where he performed audit and business advisory services for multinational and mid-sized broker dealers.
Mr. Muni is a graduate of Pace University in New York and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Edward (Ted) Kelterborn
Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer, CI Financial
Mr. Kelterborn is Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer of CI Financial and leads the team responsible for all legal affairs of the corporation and its subsidiaries. He joined CI in 2016 from First Asset Investment Management, where he served as Senior Vice-President, Legal and Operations. Prior to joining First Asset, Mr. Kelterborn was Vice-President and General Counsel of Claymore Investments Inc. (now part of BlackRock). Prior to joining Claymore, Mr. Kelterborn was a lawyer with law firms in Toronto and Bermuda and served as Associate General Counsel–Corporate at Nortel Networks. Prior to Nortel, Mr. Kelterborn was a partner at McMillan Binch (now McMillan LLP), practising in the firm’s corporate/commercial and securities law groups.
Mr. Kelterborn also serves as a director of the Canadian Exchange Traded Funds Association and holds a BA from Carleton University and an LLB from the University of Ottawa, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992.

Prior to GSFM, Peter was a division director at Macquarie Group. He also worked as the head of operations for margin lending at Macquarie Bank, as well as chief operating officer at both AM Corporation and Perpetual Investments.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

His career in financial services spans over 20 years. Prior to GSFM, Ben was the distribution director, APAC and head of private wealth at Warakirri Asset Management. He has also held executive roles in wholesale and retail distribution at UBS Asset Management Australia, Lazard Asset Management Pacific and BlackRock. He started his career at Bridgeport Advisers and Asset Managers where he was an associate and corporate superannuation consultant.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, as well as a Master of Business Administration and Master of Management (Marketing) from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He has also completed a graduate diploma of financial planning from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Charles Levinge
Head of Institutional Business
Charles joined GSFM in 2017 and is responsible for the development of the institutional business, which includes working with superannuation funds, insurers, government institutions and asset consultants. Throughout his career, Charles has developed comprehensive knowledge in both retail and institutional distribution, across multiple asset classes.
Before joining GSFM, Charles held the role of senior manager, institutional sales at Franklin Templeton Investments and, prior to that, he was the head of business development for MMC Asset Management in Sydney.
Charles has an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and is a Senior Associate FINSIA.

Bridget Grant

Bridget Grant
Company Secretary
Bridget is group counsel, company secretary and group compliance officer for the Grant Samuel Group. She joined Grant Samuel in 2009 after 15 years in legal practice in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia.
Previously, Bridget was a Director at corporate and commercial law firm Watson Mangioni, specialising in financial services law, capital market transactions, private and public mergers and acquisitions, general corporate advice and regulatory matters involving ASX and ASIC.
Bridget is a Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and Supreme Court of New South Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.

Steven Taylor
National Distribution Manager
Steven’s appointment as state manager in 2013 signalled the expansion of GSFM to the Queensland capital. He was subsequently promoted to national distribution manager in 2022. Steven is responsible for the distribution of GSFM funds to a range of intermediaries that benefit from his extensive knowledge about financial markets, economics, portfolio construction and strategic financial planning.
Prior to joining GSFM, Steven held a number of senior roles including state manager at Challenger Ltd, vice president at Credit Suisse, state manager at Skandia Investment Group and business development manager at Macquarie Group.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma of Finance and Investment and an MBA from the Queensland University of Technology. Steven is a CPA and a member of CPA Australia.

Michael Angwin
Consultant & Wholesale Distribution
Michael joined GSFM in 2022 and is responsible for consultant and wholesale distribution. He has extensive intermediary and institutional experience gained from a financial services career that spans more than 20 years.
Prior to joining GSFM, Michael worked as a director at BMO Global Asset Management where he was responsible for managing the Australian and New Zealand business. Prior to this, he helped to establish AQR Capital Management’s Australian intermediary channel and also worked as head of distribution at van Eyk.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Applied Finance. He also completed the Certified Investment Management (CIMA) certification at the Wharton School & Investments and Wealth Institute, and is a graduate of the company directors course (GAICD), at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Andrew Koolman

Andrew joined GSFM in 2022 as a Key Account Manager for New South Wales, a role with responsibility for maintaining relationships with existing clients, as well as looking for new growth opportunities. In undertaking this role, Andrew draws on his extensive knowledge of funds management distribution, private wealth and equities trading, garnered over his career.
Prior to GSFM, Andrew was an investment specialist at Arnott Capital, and before that, an institutional account manager at Ellerston Capital. He has also held private client roles at Bell Potter Securities and Patersons Securities. He started his career at Morgan Stanley as an institutional equities trader.

Lewis Bond
Key Account Manager (NSW & ACT)
Lewis joined GSFM in 2024 as a Key Account Manager and is responsible for managing relationships with independent financial advisers across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. In his role, Lewis draws on a strong investment background and extensive experience gained from working with financial advisers.
Prior to GSFM, Lewis spent five years at Macquarie Group, most recently as new business manager, wealth solutions. In this role, he was responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the intermediary market.
Lewis holds a Bachelor of Business in International Business from Southern Cross University and has completed an Investment Management Theory & Practice course from Yale School of Management. He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), completing his certification from the Investments & Wealth Institute.

Zane Leyden

Zane joined GSFM in 2015 and now holds the role of key account manager; he is responsible for developing and strengthening adviser relationships throughout Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
Prior to GSFM, Zane worked for Leyden Martin & Associates, a select group of highly skilled and experienced financial and investment planners. He held a number of roles at this firm, primarily to provide support to the advisers.
Zane holds a double degree in Marketing and Management from Monash University, a Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Graduate Certificate of Finance & a Post Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from Kaplan.

Simone Newman
Key Account Manager (VIC & TAS)
Simone joined GSFM in 2022 and, as a key account manager for Victoria and Tasmania, she is responsible for growing GSFM’s client portfolio and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Simone has a strong track record of building strong business relationships with financial advisers and other industry participants.
Simone’s previous role was head of group marketing and distribution at Dexus-owned APN Property Group, where earlier roles included senior manager, retail distribution and head of marketing and investor services. She commenced her career at ANZ in its business advisory services.
Simone holds a Bachelor of Laws (honours) and a Bachelor of Business (accountancy) from the Queensland University of Technology.

David Cohen
Key Account Manager (QLD)
David joined GSFM in 2024 as a Key Account Manager and is responsible for managing relationships with private wealth advisers and independent financial advisers (IFAs) in Queensland.
Prior to joining GSFM, David spent over six years in financial services distribution, most recently as a business development manager at Praemium. He also worked for four years with Commonwealth Financial Planning, including two as a financial adviser.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University and is a CFA charterholder.

Charlie Wood

Charlie joined GSFM in September 2023 as a Research Analyst. He is a member of the research team and supports GSFM’s work with research houses and asset consultants.
Prior to GSFM, Charlie was an Equity Investment Analyst at Wellington Management in London, working with the European and Global Impact Investing teams. Before his time in London, Charlie worked as a financial advisor at JBWere in Melbourne.

Stephen Miller
Market Strategist
Stephen joined GSFM in 2018 in the newly created role of market strategist. His expertise in international economic and policy analysis, as well as domestic and global economic and financial market developments, has resulted in him becoming a regular media spokesperson.
In his role, Stephen assists the sales team to position GSFM portfolio offerings in the institutional and retail markets. He also assists CEO Damien McIntyre and executive chairman Andrew McKinnon as more investment partners and products are added to the GSFM line-up.
Prior to GSFM, Stephen was head of fixed income, managing director and fund manager at BlackRock Investment Management (Australia). He also worked as the executive vice president, head of fixed income at Bankers Trust in Sydney and New York and was a research officer with the Australian Treasury.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Natasja joined GSFM in 2021 as a product manager and is responsible for the ongoing product management of GSFM’s stable of funds and the development of new investment options. She draws on broad product management experience that spans managed investment schemes, managed accounts, platforms and corporate super.
Prior to joining GSFM, Natasja was a senior product manager, investment funds at BT Financial Group. She has also worked as a product manager at Macquarie Group, AMP and ING IM, and as a compliance officer at Wilson HTM.
Natasja holds a Master of Economics and Finance from Maastricht University in The Netherlands and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Kaplan Professional.

Lisa joined GSFM in 2022 as marketing manager and is responsible for the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for GSFM and its investment partners. In performing her role, Lisa draws on extensive experience in strategic planning and execution, integrated marketing management and strategic communications.
Prior to joining GSFM, Lisa was a marketing and communications consultant for Employ and ProbityPeople, and she provided strategic advice on integrated marketing strategies to a wide range of clients as a consultant with The New Black. Earlier roles included head of marketing and communications at Contango Asset Management, executive general manager, marketing and communications at Equity Trustees Limited and several senior marketing roles in UBS’s international and domestic wealth management businesses.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Flinders University.

Prior to GSFM, Kit worked in a retail wealth management firm as an associate fund manager. This role entailed portfolio construction and review, accountant establishment and other operational functions within the investment team.
Kit completed a Double Major in Banking and Finance and Business (Law) at Monash University.

Finance Manager
Mark joined GSFM in October 2021 as finance manager, with responsibility for distributions and statutory accounts for the funds. He also assists with custodial administration and compliance reporting.
Prior to joining GSFM, Mark was financial reporting manager at JP Morgan, with responsibility for providing financial statements and tax services for a variety of clients. Mark has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Mark is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts from University College London.

Prior to GSFM, Louisa worked at Macquarie Bank where she spent seven years in the Specialist Investment Solutions division as senior manager in Macquarie’s Risk Management Group. Prior to Macquarie, she worked at Nomura in both Sydney and London.
Louisa has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance, Economics, Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.

She previously worked for Treliant LLC in Belfast NI where she was part of the IBOR Transition Team responsible for adaption to alternative reference rates.
Taylor has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Law degree from Queen’s University Belfast.

Joseph joined GSFM in June 2022 as an operations and risk analyst with responsibility for delivering fund performance, compliance reporting and custodial administration.
Prior to joining GSFM, Joseph worked for AMP Capital as an investment data analyst, where his responsibilities included supporting front office in trade management, fund administration and business systems. He has also worked at Rainmaker Information Group overseeing its institutional data, including accounts, FUM data and mandates.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from the University of Western Sydney, majoring in Applied Finance.

Ajapa joined GSFM in November 2023 as a Company Accountant, responsible for corporate and management accounting functions, and providing reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
Before her role at GSFM, Ajapa served as an Accountant at ISMAPNG. She brings over 17 years of experience in financial and management accounting across various industries, including the implementation of NetSuite.
Ajapa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka and was formerly an Associate CPA member of CPA Australia.

Christina joined GSFM in May 2023 as Office Administrator. In her role, she assists the finance and marketing teams and provides admin support to the COO.
Prior to GSFM, Christina has held several administrative and customer service roles at organisations including Finlease, Mapfre and Service NSW.
Christina holds a Diploma in Business and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Australian Business Academy.
